3Oceans sources fruit from our Palandri vineyard in the Margaret River region and our Wilkes vineyard in Frankland. Read more about the unique atrributes each site has to offer to our range of wines below.
Palandri Vineyard
Nestled in the heart of the picturesque Margaret River region, Palandri Vineyard is one of the most renowned estates under Australia 3 Oceans Wine Company.
Surrounded by breathtaking coastlines, towering forests, and rolling fields of perfectly aligned vines, the vineyard forms part of the region often hailed as “The Bordeaux of Australia.”
Margaret River’s maritime location, embraced by the ocean on three sides, creates a distinctive Mediterranean climate — warm and dry summers, mild and wet winters — providing ideal growing conditions for premium wine grapes.
Palandri Vineyard covers 10 hectares under vine, planted to Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, producing elegant and expressive wines that reflect the purity of the region.
Wilkes Vineyard
Located in the Frankland River sub-region — the coolest and most distinctive part of Western Australia’s Great Southern appellation — Wilkes Vineyard spans a total of 450 hectares, with 70 hectares currently under vine.
The vineyard is planted to Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Tempranillo, varieties that thrive in Frankland River’s gently undulating hills and gravelly-clay soils.
Experts often note that the region’s climate and soil profile bear a close resemblance to Burgundy, France, endowing the fruit with refined flavour concentration, vibrant natural acidity, and remarkable balance — hallmarks of world-class cool-climate wines.
